ERJ Family 2.1.1 Released

We’ve just released ERJ Family 2.1.1, a smaller follow-up update focused on user-reported fixes, cockpit interaction improvements, better plugin stability, and a nice new visual option for the Legacy 650.

This update continues the work of polishing the ERJ Family after the big 2.0 and 2.1.0 releases, with several improvements that make the aircraft cleaner, smoother, and easier to use in day-to-day flying.

Highlights

  • Optional wheel covers added for the Legacy 650

  • New X-Plane 12 chocks integrated into the EFB

  • Weather radar forced STBY can now be overridden on the ground using the real STAB button trick

  • Hardware tiller animation now works correctly

  • Improved EFB and AirComms communication for better stability

A small visual upgrade for the Legacy 650

The most visible addition in this update is simple but lovely: the Legacy 650 now has optional wheel covers. It is one of those little visual details that makes the aircraft feel more complete.

Better ground handling and cold & dark behavior

We also added new X-Plane 12 chocks directly into the EFB.

This helps prevent the aircraft from moving when parked cold & dark, which is especially useful when loading the aircraft at the gate or preparing it from a fully powered-down state.

It is a small improvement, but one that removes an annoying little issue from normal use.

Weather radar and tiller fixes

The weather radar forced STBY mode can now be overridden on the ground using the real trick: pressing STAB five times.

We also fixed the tiller animation when using a hardware tiller, bringing it in line with the behavior we already use in the E-Jets.

AirComms and EFB stability improvements

Behind the scenes, we also created a new interface between the EFB and AirComms.

This is not something you will necessarily notice directly in the cockpit, but it is important because it gives us a stronger and more efficient way for our plugins to communicate with each other.

That means better stability now, and a better foundation for future AirComms improvements.

We also fixed the “Don’t Show Again” button in AirComms messages, so those messages now behave properly when dismissed.
